Learning lets us grow to our full potential
Welcome to Religious Education – an integral part of our Family Faith Formation Program!
At our parish, each family is encouraged to develop personal relationship with Christ in the home and through our community of faith. In Religious Education, young people can come for time with their peers to join in a community that leads them towards Christ while also providing guidance from our tradition on how to navigate belief in our modern society. Though these hours together are precious, the time spent together at home is even more important – it is there that children learn true spiritual practice, personal ethics, and how to be in relationship with God. We look to engage students and their families in ways that helps them to be in deeper communion with each other, with the world, and ultimately with God.
Our Religious Education classes take place on Sunday mornings from 9 AM – 10:15 AM in the Parish Center and are broken up by grade.
A number of times throughout the year, parents and siblings will be invited to join in and are encouraged to come as part of our Family Gatherings when the whole community comes together for prayer, fellowship, reflection, and fun!
As always, we are sincerely seeking more assistance for our Religious Education program. If you feel as though you could volunteer some of your time helping out in some of our classrooms or with other events throughout the year, we would love for you to join our team! Training and formation are provided as needed, so please do not let nervousness be a stumbling stone to reaching out. As many of our catechists will attest, serving in the program is a wonderfully rewarding experience!
